Peanut Butter Pie Recipe
I figured since today’s my birthday, I should share one of my most FAVORITE desserts of ALL TIME! It also so happens to be one of the easiest recipes so next time you need a quick dessert (that’s guaranteed to impress all your guests) it’s kind of a no brainer…you make this one.
Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie Recipe
:: 1 graham cracker crust
:: 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
:: 4 tablespoons peanut butter
Ingredients for chocolate sauce
:: 6 tablespoons heavy cream
:: 1 teaspoon orange zest
:: 7 ounces semisweet chocolate
:: 1/2 teaspoon coffee granules
:: 3 tablespoons Grand Marnier
:: 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
In a double boiler heat cream and orange zest. Add chocolate, coffee, orange liqueur, and corn syrup stirring constantly. Keep the chocolate warm and drizzle over pie.
* OR if you’re not my mom and don’t want to make it homemade you can always just buy a container of hot fudge sauce
For the pie, listen very carefully because it may get a little tricky. (j/k) Let vanilla ice cream soften and then stir in 4 tablespoons of peanut butter. (You may or may not need an entire 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream, it really just depends on the size graham cracker crust you buy.) Pour mixture into graham cracker crust and place in the freezer for several hours until it sets. Drizzle some hot fudge on top and prepare for your taste buds to explode.
My mom just made me this pie and it was the perfect treat because it’s so freakin’ hot outside! Until next time…
