Tony's Chocolate Peanut Drops
While on vacation a couple of weeks ago, Cason and I were having a total nostalgia moment and started craving Tony’s chocolate peanut drops otherwise known as, tiger treats! If you don’t know what tiger treats are, your babysitter clearly wasn’t as cool as ours was. Growing up our babysitter Carri use to make these for us (We still have the original recipe she wrote out for us shown in the photo above!) and the best way to describe them is chocolatey peanut butter goodness…YUM. They are so delicious and would be a perfect fall treat!
Tony’s Chocolate Peanut Drops
:: 5 cups Frosted Flakes
:: 1 cup salted peanuts
:: 1 (12 oz.) package peanut butter morsels
:: 1 (6 0z. or 1 cup) package semi-sweet morsels
In a large bowl stir cereal and peanuts. Place peanut butter and chocolate morsels in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through. After cooking, stir until smooth. Pour melted morsels over cereal and peanuts, stirring until covered. Drop by spoon onto wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Chill until set or around 30 minutes.
Pull out a plate of these while watching next week’s football game and you’re bound to be loved forever.
